Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking an O&M Project Manager to join our growing M Renewables Division in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of operational energy assets across the UK, playing a key role in ensuring performance, reliability, and long‑term value across a portfolio of Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

This role sits at the heart of our Operations & Maintenance function, combining technical expertise, stakeholder management, and commercial oversight.

You will work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver best‑in‑class operational performance while supporting the continued expansion of our UK portfolio.

Your Role Will Encompass

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of energy projects, ensuring delivery in line with contractual KPIs and performance targets.
  • Utilize your technical expertise to support troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues across Solar and BESS assets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project clients, building strong relationships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Lead regular client meetings, provide updates, and respond effectively to operational and commercial queries.
  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, and financial performance to ensure projects meet or exceed O&M targets.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to optimise operational efficiency and cost performance.
  • Support contract management activities, including legal and commercial coordination to minimise risk related to defects, delays, or underperformance.
  • Lead the recruitment and development of local O&M teams as the portfolio grows.
  • Manage contractor and supplier relationships, including sourcing, onboarding, and performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to monthly and annual O&M reporting, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Maintain robust project documentation, records, and data backups in line with company standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Background in Engineering or a related technical field is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) within renewable energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong technical understanding of Solar PV and/or BESS systems is advantageous.
  • Experience managing client relationships and multiple stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to support budgeting and cost control activities.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proactive, solutions‑driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
