We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support our EPC activities across the UK and Ireland, reporting into the London‑based Legal team. This role will provide high‑quality, commercially focused legal advice across the full project lifecycle, from tendering and procurement through to project delivery and operations.
Your role will encompass:
- Provide high‑quality, responsive legal advice to support business objectives and project needs across the UK and Ireland.
- Draft, review, negotiate and finalize EPC, O&M, subcontract and supply agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project teams in the administration and management of EPC and O&M contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations by all parties.
- Provide legal guidance across the EPC and O&M contract chain, identifying and mitigating contractual and commercial risks.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Legal Team processes, procedures and best practices while ensuring adherence to established systems and governance requirements.
- Liaise with external legal advisors to obtain fee quotations, manage legal spend and ensure timely delivery of legal support while effectively prioritizing workloads and meeting business deadlines.
What you bring to the role:
- Qualified lawyer in England & Wales with a valid practising certificate; dual qualification in another European country would be an advantage.
- 3 years’ PQE relevant experience in the EPC energy sector in the UK.
- Experience in EPC contracts throughout the contract chain including tenders, procurement, EPC and O&M contracts, supply and subcontracting.
- Experience in energy/infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of FIDIC and/or NEC4 contracts.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience both in private practice and in‑house will be considered an advantage.
