We are currently searching for a
Contracts Administrator to join our Grid & Digital Solutions department, as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, for the EGL1 Project, based in Torness, Scotland.
Your role will encompass
- Administer and maintain subcontractor and supplier contracts.
- Support the preparation, review, and issuance of contractual documentation.
- Maintain contract registers, change logs, and project records.
- Track and monitor contract variations, notices, and compensation events.
- Coordinate contractual correspondence between project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project procedures, and company standards.
- Support the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyors with contract administration activities.
- Assist with subcontractor onboarding, documentation, and compliance checks.
- Maintain accurate records of insurances, warranties, and contractual deliverables.
- Prepare contract-related reports and provide updates to project management teams.
- Support audits and document control activities as required.
- Liaise with procurement, finance, and project teams to ensure timely processing of contractual information.
What you bring to the role
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Contracts Administrator, Commercial Administrator, Project Administrator, or similar role.
- Experience working within construction, infrastructure, utilities, energy, power transmission, or engineering projects.
- Understanding of contract administration and commercial processes.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts would be highly advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience using project management or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, COINS, or similar would be beneficial.
- Previous experience supporting large infrastructure or EPC projects.
- Exposure to power transmission, utilities, energy, or major civil engineering projects.
