We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our UK team within the Thermal Power & HVDC Division of Metlen Energy & Metals, based at our Murton, County Durham project site.
What your role will encompass:
- Supervise the day-to-day warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, handling, preservation, and issuance of construction materials, equipment, and consumables.
- Responsible for receiving and inspecting all goods, materials, and equipment to ensure they comply with purchase orders, delivery notes, and project specifications.
- Lead and coordinate warehouse personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and timely material handling activities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all material movements are correctly recorded within warehouse management systems.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Coordinate incoming deliveries and outgoing material requests to support construction schedules and site requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, warehouse safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and environmental requirements.
- Prepare regular warehouse reports, inventory summaries, and KPI updates for Project Management.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, material flow, and operational efficiency throughout the project.
What you bring to the role:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or material management.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, material traceability, and warehouse management best practices.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced site environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to supervise teams and collaborate effectively across project functions.
- Good knowledge of warehouse HSE requirements and safe material handling practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
