Job Description

Site Electrical Commissioning Engineer – UK

This role offers a strong opportunity to contribute hands‑on to the execution and delivery of electrical commissioning activities through to successful handover, ensuring compliance with project, quality, safety, and performance requirements. Your role will encompass:

  • Commissioning supervision of electrical components or systems such as Rectifiers & Batteries, LV Switchgears, Power transformers, medium‑voltage switchgears, Protection & Control systems, HV Equipment
  • Commissioning supervision of Primary & Secondary Injection test set
  • Commissioning supervision and testing of Protection Relays, carrying out testing on electrical systems and equipment and using the appropriate testing and measuring devices as well as system optimization and troubleshooting, following company’s commissioning procedures and filling in the respective commissioning documentation and protocols
  • Cooperation with internal team members, guidance and coordination of external partners and sub‑contractors, interacting with customers
  • Ensure all the activities conducted on site follow the correct process in accordance with project requirements and in strict compliance with all EHS requirements
  • Coordination of all necessary activities with all involved parties, such as commissioning team, erection team and sub‑contractors
  • Preparation and update of the commissioning procedures to be conducted on site
  • Report to the Commissioning Manager of Elec and I&C Automation and Digitalization, and to Head of Commissioning Dpt., when needed

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience in power stations Electrical Commissioning activities will be a plus
  • Strong team spirit, working with an international team and other cultures
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English
