  • We are currently looking for a
  • HSE Site Advisor professional to join our
  • Metlen Renewables Division in the UK. The

HSE Site Advisor works in close collaboration with the HSE Managers, HSE Site Manager, Project Managers (PM), and Project Engineers (PE) within

Metlen to oversee and control site operations throughout the construction phase.

The role is responsible for ensuring that works are delivered safely, in compliance with applicable HSE regulations, and in line with project programme requirements.

Your role will encompass

  • Assist the HSE Site Manager in the site setup and establishment in accordance with CDM and welfare regulations.
  • Assist the HSE Site Manager in ensuring the Construction Phase Plan, Integrated Management System and contractual safety requirements are effective and implemented across the project.

Where gaps are identified advice must be delivered to ensure corrective actions are taken.

  • Assist the HSE Site Manager in monitor all work (direct and sub-contractor) to ensure that safe systems of work are being adopted.
  • Deputise for the HSE Site Manager in times of absence from the site.
  • Ensure that all accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences are thoroughly investigated and reported detailing causes, conclusions, and recommendations to avoid recurrence and collecting all accident book entries for archiving with the support of the Health and Safety Manager.
  • Provision of HSE support and advice to the EPC team
  • Completion of HSE audits and inspections on sites
  • Analysis of audit findings and working closely with site teams to effectively close out nonconformities
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Encourage an open and positive safety culture.
  • Support the workforce to reduce H&S risks.
  • Identify training needs and competency requirements.
  • Deliver Toolbox Talks and Induction Training as required.
  • Participate in daily contractor meetings.
  • Collect the monthly HSE statistics from projects

What you bring to the role

  • Mandatory construction experience (minimum 1-2 years’ experience). Experience in energy related projects is considered an advantage
  • Detailed understanding of health and safety processes
  • Strong leadership and team management ability
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical, critical thinking with problem solving skills
  • SMSTS
  • Experience as a H&S professional in construction (CDM), electrical, or related technical environment
  • High capacity for new learning and enthusiastic approach to tasks
  • Interest in the renewables sector
  • Proactive approach and work ethic
  • Self-motivated, team player
  • IT skills (MS office)
  • Competent First Aider 3-day First Aid at Work with Defib
  • Driving License
