Job Description Contracts Administrator 12/08/2026 Job Description:

We are currently searching for aContracts Administrator to join our Grid & Digital Solutions department, as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, for the EGL1 Project, based in Murton.

Your role will encompass:

  • Administer and maintain subcontractor and supplier contracts.
  • Support the preparation, review, and issuance of contractual documentation.
  • Maintain contract registers, change logs, and project records.
  • Track and monitor contract variations, notices, and compensation events.
  • Coordinate contractual correspondence between project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project procedures, and company standards.
  • Support the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyors with contract administration activities.
  • Assist with subcontractor onboarding, documentation, and compliance checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of insurances, warranties, and contractual deliverables.
  • Prepare contract-related reports and provide updates to project management teams.
  • Support audits and document control activities as required.
  • Liaise with procurement, finance, and project teams to ensure timely processing of contractual information.

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Contracts Administrator, Commercial Administrator, Project Administrator, or similar role.
  • Experience working within construction, infrastructure, utilities, energy, power transmission, or engineering projects.
  • Understanding of contract administration and commercial processes.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience using project management or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, COINS, or similar would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience supporting large infrastructure or EPC projects.
  • Exposure to power transmission, utilities, energy, or major civil engineering projects.
