We are seeking a Senior Project Planner to join a growing Project Controls and Project Planning team delivering some of the UK's most complex infrastructure, energy, water, rail, highways and nuclear programmes. This is an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary environment where Project Planning, Project Controls, Risk Management and Programme Delivery come together. You'll gain exposure to major projects from concept through to construction, working alongside industry-leading specialists and helping clients deliver critical infrastructure across the UK.
The Role
As a Senior Project Planner, you will play a key role in providing Project Planning and Project Controls support across a portfolio of major projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, maintaining and managing project schedules using Primavera P6
- Creating and managing Integrated Master Schedules
- Delivering project planning and programme controls support throughout the project lifecycle
- Producing progress reports, dashboards and planning analysis for senior stakeholders
- Carrying out schedule health checks and schedule assurance reviews
- Supporting change control processes and programme governance
- Performing Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule performance analysis
- Integrating planning schedules with project risks and mitigation strategies
- Supporting NEC programme management and project controls reporting
- Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Design Teams and Clients
What We're Looking For
We would love to hear from Project Planners, Senior Planners and Project Controls professionals who have:
- Strong Project Planning experience within infrastructure, engineering, construction or major projects
- Advanced Primavera P6 experience
- Experience developing and managing complex project schedules
- Knowledge of Project Controls methodologies and best practice
- Experience with NEC contracts and programme management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience producing planning reports, forecasts and performance metrics
- Exposure to Earned Value Management, risk integration and schedule assurance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel
Experience within Water, Rail, Highways, Nuclear, Energy or Major Infrastructure projects would be highly beneficial.
