We are working with a top-tier Investment bank who are looking for a Senior Associate to join their Restructuring team in London. This team focuses on larger, more complex transactions than their competitors in a lean deal environment. Senior Associates in the Restructuring team have the opportunity to develop a diverse and broad corporate finance skill set. Financial restructuring transactions are complex and involve multi‑party negotiations with a number of key stakeholders including, among others, the board of directors, management, secured and unsecured lenders and equity holders.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Helping to lead the origination and execution of restructuring transactions across our platform;
  • Frequent senior‑level interaction with clients and investors;
  • Developing detailed business plans;
  • Developing strategies to implement various restructuring transactions;
  • Evaluating financial returns to current and potential investors;
  • Attending key client negotiating and strategy sessions;
  • Managing complex and often time‑sensitive restructuring transactions from start to finish;
  • Participating in both internal and external client meetings, negotiation of contracts and other agreements, and due diligence sessions.

At least 4 years of work experience in corporate concentrated on restructuring, leveraged & acquisition finance or credit. Fluency in English is required. Strong qualitative and analytical skills. Ability to run client meetings and coordinate deal execution. Strong written and presentation skills. A desire to work in a team environment, often under tight deadlines. Strong knowledge of accounting and finance. Ability to mentor and train more junior bankers.
