Metis Search are currently partnered with a leading UK investment bank looking to hire a Senior Analyst or Associate into its specialist Financial Institutions team in London. This is an opportunity to join a well-established FIG franchise, advising financial services clients on public and private M&A, equity capital markets, and strategic corporate finance transactions. The team operates in a sector-focused, execution-driven environment, offering strong deal exposure, close senior interaction, and the chance to develop deep sector expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of public and private M&A transactions within the Financial Institutions sector.
- Assist on equity capital markets and broader corporate finance mandates across sectors.
- Build and maintain financial and valuation models, including DCF and comparable analyses.
- Prepare high-quality client materials such as pitchbooks, management presentations and board papers.
- Conduct company, market and regulatory research, including sector analysis.
- Support corporate broking activities and ongoing advisory coverage for listed clients.
- Engage with clients, advisers and internal stakeholders across live transactions.
- Undertake financial analysis and due diligence as part of deal execution.
Candidate Profile:
- 2β5 years experience in investment banking and/or corporate broking.
- FIG exposure.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
- Experience across M&A and/or public markets transactions.
- Strong interest in the Financial Institutions sector.
- Clear communicator, highly organised, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams.
