The platform is recognised for delivering high-quality advice on complex, stressed and distressed situations across the UK mid-market. The team advises corporates, sponsors, lenders and other key stakeholders on liquidity challenges, balance sheet restructurings and formal restructuring processes, working closely with M&A and sector teams to provide integrated strategic solutions.

This is an opportunity to join a growing restructuring practice in a senior execution capacity, with meaningful responsibility across mandate origination, stakeholder management and delivery. The role offers direct exposure to boards, lenders and sponsors in time-critical and often high-pressure environments. The culture is collaborative, rigorous and focused on technical excellence and sound commercial judgement.

Key responsibilities
  • Support senior leadership in originating and developing restructuring mandates across corporates, sponsors and lender groups
  • Act as day-to-day execution lead on stressed and distressed engagements, including liquidity assessments and strategic options reviews
  • Lead financial analysis, short-term cash flow modelling and scenario planning
  • Advise on covenant breaches, waivers, forbearance agreements and contingency planning
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations involving lenders, sponsors, boards and legal advisers
  • Oversee preparation of restructuring materials, board presentations and stakeholder communications
  • Coordinate with legal counsel, insolvency practitioners and other restructuring specialists on formal processes where required
  • Contribute to independent business review-style workstreams and capital structure assessments
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, ensuring high standards of analytical output and client delivery
  • Collaborate with M&A and sector teams to support accelerated sale processes and other strategic alternatives
Essential requirements
  • At least four years experience within investment banking or restructuring advisory
  • Demonstrated track record of executing stressed and distressed mandates
  • Strong understanding of UK restructuring frameworks and processes
  • Advanced financial modelling capability, including cash flow forecasting and downside scenario analysis
  • Deep knowledge of capital structures, credit documentation and lender dynamics
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder situations in time-sensitive environments
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice to senior clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong academic background; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent are advantageous

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced restructuring professional seeking a senior execution and origination role with direct client exposure and the chance to play a key part in the continued growth of a respected advisory platform.
