A leading European investment bank is looking to appoint a French-speaking Analyst and Associate into their growing Generalist M&A team in London. The platform is recognised for delivering high-quality advice across the UK mid-market, on a broad range of transactions including sell-side, buy-side, capital raises and strategic advisory. The team works across a variety of sectors, offering integrated, hands-on execution within a collaborative and high-performance environment. The role offers direct exposure to senior stakeholders, including management teams, boards and investors, with the chance to work on complex transactions in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of M&A transactions, including sell-side, buy-side and capital raising mandates
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including three-statement and valuation models (DCF, LBO, comparables)
- Prepare high-quality marketing materials, including information memoranda, management presentations and teasers
- Conduct financial analysis, industry research and strategic assessments to support client advice
- Assist in managing due diligence processes and data rooms
- Coordinate with clients, investors, legal advisers and other stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Support senior team members in client interactions and project management
- Contribute to idea generation and origination efforts, including pitch materials and market analysis
Candidate Profile
- 1-4 years experience in investment banking
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Fluent in French
- Commercial awareness and interest in M&A and corporate finance
- Strong academic background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent are advantageous
