We are currently working with multiple leading infrastructure private equity funds in London on a number of Investment Associate searches, covering both large-cap and mid-market infrastructure transactions. These are excellent opportunities to join established investment platforms with strong track records across the infrastructure market, offering exposure to high-quality assets and businesses, complex transactions and attractive investment opportunities across the sector.
The Opportunity
As an Investment Associate, you will work closely with senior investment professionals across the full investment lifecycle, from origination and underwriting through to transaction execution and portfolio management. Depending on the platform, investment exposure may span energy transition, digital infrastructure, power & utilities, transport, social infrastructure and broader essential infrastructure.
Role Profile
- Evaluate and underwrite new investment opportunities across the infrastructure sector
- Build and review detailed financial models, investment cases and returns analyses
- Conduct valuation, scenario and downside analysis
- Support commercial, financial, technical and legal due diligence
- Prepare investment committee papers and transaction materials
- Work closely with senior team members throughout transaction execution
- Engage with management teams, advisers, lenders and other transaction counterparties
- Support portfolio company analysis and value-creation initiatives
- Contribute to sector research, market mapping and investment origination
Candidate Profile
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
- 2-5 years of experience from a leading investment bank, infrastructure investor or private equity fund
- Strong M&A, infrastructure, energy, power or utilities transaction experience
- Experience across large-cap and/or mid-market transactions
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills
- Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively in a demanding, entrepreneurial investment environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A genuine interest in infrastructure investing
