Metis is looking to fill a Water Engineer role to assist with project delivery.

About The Role

Metis have a healthy pipeline of exciting projects delivering sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and traditional drainage projects across a range of public sector and private sector clients. The Water Engineer role will help ensure that these commissions are delivered to the highest quality standards. The ideal Water Engineer candidate should have completed a relevant civil or environmental degree or masters level qualification, with a minimum of 2:1 (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Develop both small-scale SuDS interventions and large-scale flood alleviation schemes (public and private)
  • Cover all design stages, from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction
  • Develop hydraulic models and civil design packages
  • Liaise with client and stakeholders, and facilitate scheme progression
  • Support senior engineers
  • Help to train more junior members of the team

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
  • Strong CAD skills
  • Experience in InfoDrainage or similar software
  • Competency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Capacity to deliver multiple projects
  • Ability to integrate into a team, and consult with clients and stakeholders
  • Energy and enthusiasm!

Desirable

  • Familiarity using Civil3D and Revit
  • Experience in flood risk management, foul water design and/or hydraulic modelling
  • Experience with GIS software
  • Experience within a council

Salary and Package

Metis offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including workplace pension (Royal London), eligibility for private medical cover (Vitality), and flexible working in our offices in Richmond-upon-Thames.
