About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planner to join our team on a 3-month contract. This role is ideally suited to candidates with a background in production planning or manufacturing who can quickly integrate into a fast-paced environment and drive planning efficiency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing resource planning and ensuring operational targets are achieved while maintaining high levels of customer service and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise production plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate material availability and resource requirements to meet production demands.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to mitigate potential delays.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and operational teams.
  • Analyse capacity, demand forecasts, and inventory levels to support planning decisions.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Communicate planning updates and key performance metrics to stakeholders.

Essential Experience &Skills

  • Proven experience in a Planning role, preferably within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear, concise and SMART communication skills.
  • Proficiency in P6 Primavera Planning Tools.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experienced in manufacturing, software or production.
  • Must be a UK resident.
  • Available to commit to a 3-month contract
  • Able to start within a short notice period.
