About the Role

The

Senior Logistics Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of Métier’s logistics operations across the UK, USA, Italy and EMEA, covering 3PL management, inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, transport, order fulfilment and logistics costs.

Working closely with Production, Merchandising, Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce and Finance, the role ensures inventory is in the right place, at the right time and at the right cost while maintaining excellent service levels across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • 3PL & Warehouse Management
  • Manage relationships and performance of 3PL and warehouse partners.
  • Monitor SLAs and KPIs including inventory accuracy, pick/pack accuracy, OTIF and cost per unit/order.
  • Lead regular performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review warehouse costs and identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Inbound & Outbound Logistics
  • Manage inbound shipments from manufacturers and suppliers, primarily from Italy to UK and USA warehouses.
  • Oversee outbound fulfilment across e-commerce, retail and wholesale channels.
  • Maintain visibility of goods in transit and proactively resolve delays and operational issues.
  • Ensure key account orders are delivered accurately and within agreed delivery windows.
  • Inventory Management
  • Maintain inventory accuracy across ERP, WMS and physical warehouse stock.
  • Manage stock reconciliations, cycle counts, adjustments and intercompany inventory movements.
  • Work closely with Finance on month-end and year-end inventory reconciliation.
  • Monitor damaged, slow-moving, excess and obsolete stock.
  • Transport & International Trade
  • Manage freight forwarders, couriers and transport providers across the UK, USA and Europe.
  • Monitor carrier performance, rates and delivery costs.
  • Ensure accurate customs documentation, commodity codes, Incoterms and import/export requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve routes, consolidate shipments and reduce freight costs.
  • Logistics Forecasting & Cost Control
  • Own the logistics budget and forecast in collaboration with Finance.
  • Monitor warehousing, freight, courier, pick & pack, duties and other logistics costs.
  • Review supplier invoices against agreed rates and operational activity.
  • Analyse actual costs against forecast and identify savings opportunities.
  • Systems & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate logistics data across ERP and WMS platforms.
  • Support EDI troubleshooting and logistics system improvements.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards covering OTIF, inventory accuracy, 3PL performance and logistics costs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, AI and data analytics.

Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Strong experience in a senior logistics, supply chain or operations role, ideally within luxury, fashion, retail, beauty or consumer goods .
  • Experience managing 3PLs, warehouses, freight forwarders and carriers.
  • Strong understanding of international inbound/outbound logistics and inventory management.
  • Experience supporting e-commerce, retail and wholesale fulfilment.
  • Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems and EDI processes.
  • Good understanding of customs, duties and international shipping.
  • Strong commercial skills with experience managing logistics budgets, forecasts and costs.
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within luxury fashion or accessories.
  • Minimum

7 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain or operations, with experience at management level.

  • Experience managing logistics across the UK, USA and Europe.
  • Experience with 3PL tenders and logistics network optimisation.
  • Experience implementing ERP/WMS improvements and process automation.
