Our professional services client is currently going through a sustained period of growth, and with this they now seek an Audit Senior to join their team in Edinburgh. Ideally you will be ICAS or equivalent qualified but people who are part-qualified will also be considered. This office works a hybrid schedule and a working week of 35 hours with each hour additional paid as overtime.
You will become a key part of a growing team, which provides a wide range of audit services to a diverse range of clients, including OMBs, charities, landed estates, and FCA regulated entities. The wider Edinburgh team provide tailor made services, including accounting, tax, corporate finance, and business advisory. They advise their client base on both their personal and business affairs, as well as assisting at all phases of wealth generation, preservation, and succession.
As An Audit Senior, You Will:
- Project manage and drive the audit and accounting process, including liaising directly with senior individuals in clients’ finance teams.
- Get actively involved in every aspect of the audit process, taking ownership of planning, fieldwork, and the completion on audit engagements, working closely with managers and partners.
- Have the opportunity to get involved in the direction and overall running of the team.
- There may also be opportunities to work on ad hoc projects e.g., department or firm wide working groups and client advisory work.
- Audit Seniors are often given the opportunity to manage a small portfolio of jobs, which helps you to develop the next stage of your career progression.

Qualifications And Attributes Required:
- ICAS or equivalent qualified.
- Strong audit experience, including planning and completion.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Client-focused with a keen sense of commerciality.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and Word, and familiarity with CCH accounts and audit automation (preferred).
- Up-to-date technical knowledge, including recent developments in accounting and auditing standards.
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and pressured environment.
- Proactive nature and a strong team player.
