Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Italian-speaking Finance Manager to manage and develop finance operations across our Italian, UK, and international entities.
The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, strong financial controls, compliance with Italian tax and reporting requirements, cash flow management, intercompany processes, and effective month-end reporting.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, external accountants, and business stakeholders to improve processes, provide financial insight, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee Italian accounting operations and bookkeeping.
- Manage SDI invoice processing and invoice tracking.
- Ensure compliance with Italian tax requirements, including VAT and F24 processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Liaise with external accountants and advisors.
- Accounts Payable & Cash Management
- Oversee AP processes across multiple entities.
- Review supplier invoices, payment schedules, and outstanding balances.
- Manage payment planning and supplier communication.
- Prepare cash flow reporting (actuals and forecasts).
- Support liquidity planning and payment prioritisation.
- Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Manage month-end closing activities.
- Review accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Support P&L and balance sheet reviews.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of raw materials, inventory, production costs, and cost of goods sold.
- Intercompany & International Operations
- Manage intercompany invoicing and reconciliations between Italy, UK, and USA.
- Investigate and resolve intercompany differences.
- Support transfer pricing processes where applicable.
- Review export documentation, including MRN requirements.
- Budgeting & Business Support
- Lead monthly budget review meetings.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
- Monitor performance against budget.
- Process Improvement
- Develop finance procedures and improve internal controls.
- Support automation and process improvements.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Key Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- English communication skills.
- Strong experience in accounting and finance operations.
- Experience managing month-end closing.
- Experience with AP, payments, and cash flow management.
- Knowledge of Italian tax requirements and ideally part-qualified in ACCA or CIMA
- Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliation.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience managing external accountants and stakeholders.
