The Salesforce team is responsible for the continual maintenance and development of the internal Salesforce org, the integral business operational platform. The Salesforce Administrator will act as a key member of this team, helping to analyse and resolve user issues, drive adoption, resolve system bugs and implement stakeholder change requests. The Salesforce Administrator will also design, create and deliver technical solutions on the Salesforce platform, ensuring that the org is continually fit for purpose. The role will work across the full Salesforce platform, while developing subject matter expertise in Finance and Accounts processes within Certinia PSA and Certinia Accounting (FFA). This includes troubleshooting financial data and process issues, supporting system improvements, and contributing to the migration of legacy automation into Salesforce Flow.
Responsibilities
- Participating in discovery sessions/workshops with business process stakeholders and users to gather/update solution requirements, performing gap analysis between Salesforce capabilities and enhancement needs.
- Analysing user stories and translating these into deliverable working solutions and complete test scenarios.
- Lead or assist with the design, development, testing and delivery of functional solutions within Salesforce, prioritising scalable, declaratively developed solutions.
- Participating in user acceptance testing sessions.
- Delivering user training.
- Creating relevant user and administrator documentation to support solution rollouts.
- 2nd line Salesforce BAU support.
- Monitoring the internal ticketing system to ensure business queries are addressed in a timely manner.
- Where relevant supporting/mentoring a junior administrator.
- Tackling technical debt, including rationalisation and optimisation of existing automation.
- Designing, building and maintaining complex record-triggered, scheduled and screen flows.
- Identifying data quality issues and managing resolution of such instances.
- Supporting Finance and Accounts teams with troubleshooting of Certinia PSA and Accounting (FFA) related issues.
- Investigating financial data discrepancies including revenue recognition, billing, project financials, and accounting postings.
- Working closely with Finance stakeholders to improve financial processes within Salesforce and Certinia.
- Drawing on your Salesforce experience to identify opportunities to recommend scalable technical and/or 3rd party solutions to the Salesforce roadmap.
- Strong understanding of internal business functions (Marketing, Sales, Service Delivery, Finance, HR etc.), and how the Salesforce platform can be designed and configured to accommodate them.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable leading discussions and guiding stakeholders toward solutions.
- Ability to work autonomously and represent the team positively to the business.
- Confident to take responsibility for the full project lifecycle and manage projects or BAU support/change situations.
- Experience delivering Change and Release Management best practices and sandbox management.
- Experience with DataLoader (or equivalent ETL tools).
- Ability to effectively prioritise competing requests while managing user expectations.
- Fluent in English.
- Will need to go through Security Clearance and complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
Qualifications – Essential
- 2+ years of Salesforce and Certinia administration, ideally in a business services industry, or equivalent consulting experience.
- Strong experience supporting Certinia PSA and Certinia Accounting (FFA) or similar PSA/ERP systems.
- Good understanding of finance and accounting concepts (billing, revenue, journals, project financials, GLA, etc.).
- Strong hands‑on experience building and maintaining Salesforce Flows (record-triggered, scheduled, screen flows).
- Hands‑on configuration experience with Salesforce CRM Analytics/Analytics Studio/Tableau CRM.
- Experience analysing and resolving automation conflicts and technical debt.
- Experience within support team and client‑facing roles, managing users and day‑to‑day issues through to resolution.
- Ability to work independently, within teams, and cross‑functionally with excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and enjoyment of project ownership.
- Strong logical reasoning and problem‑solving skills.
- Salesforce declarative configuration to expert level (Lightning UI).
- Experience supporting orgs with 200+ users.
- Experience with delivering Change and Release Management best practices and sandbox management.
- Experience presenting to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with DataLoader (or equivalent ETL tools).
- Ability to effectively prioritise competing requests while managing user expectations.

- Experience leading/supporting/mentoring junior Administrator(s).
- Hands‑on configuration experience with Conga and/or DocuSign.
- BA / Project Management certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business analysis/change management or related field.
