Methods is recruiting for a Power BI / Power Apps Developer to join our team within the Public Sector Business Unit on a permanent basis. This role will be mainly remote but requires flexibility to travel to client sites, with our offices based in London and Sheffield.
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Power BI / Power Apps Developer to design, build, and maintain high-impact business solutions. You will be the go-to expert for turning raw data into actionable insights and creating custom applications that streamline our operations. Your focus will be on building scalable, high-performance tools that adhere to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Development: Design and deploy end-to-end Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑Driven) and complex Power BI dashboards.
- Data Modelling & Analytics: Build robust data models and DAX measures to support sophisticated business intelligence requirements.
- System Integration: Integrate Power Platform solutions with various data sources (SQL, Dataverse, SharePoint, APIs) and other Microsoft 365 services.
- Standards & Governance: Ensure all solutions meet strict performance benchmarks and data best‑practice standards for security, usability, and maintainability.
- Expert Consultation: Act as the technical lead for data architecture and app logic, providing guidance on what’s possible within the Power Platform ecosystem.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Power BI: Advanced knowledge of Power Query, DAX, and data visualisations.
- Power Apps: Deep experience in app logic, formulas, and UI/UX design within the Power Apps environment.
- Data Architecture: Proven expertise in data modelling, ETL processes, and relational database concepts.
- Optimization: Ability to troubleshoot and tune performance for slow‑running reports or laggy applications.
