- Security & Compliance: Take ownership of secure coding practices. You will ensure all solutions meet rigorous government security classifications and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Mentorship: Act as a technical mentor to mid‑level and junior developers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, and Architects to translate complex policy requirements into technical roadmaps.
- DevOps Culture: Champion a "you build it, you run it" mindset by refining CI/CD pipelines and improving automated testing strategies.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Expert .NET Mastery: Extensive experience with C# and .NET Core/6+, including deep knowledge of dependency injection, middleware, and asynchronous programming.
- Azure Expert: Proven track record of architecting and deploying complex solutions using Azure App Services, Logic Apps, Key Vault, and Azure SQL.
- Modern Patterns: Expert knowledge of Microservices, Event‑Driven Architecture, and RESTful API design.
- Data Integrity: Strong experience with both SQL Server and NoSQL environments, including performance tuning and data modelling.
- Public Sector Fluency: Direct experience working within GDS frameworks or similarly regulated environments (e.g., Health, Defence, or Finance).
- Engineering Rigor: Experience leading CI/CD transformations using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, emphasizing Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform).
Desirable Attributes
- Containerisation: Hands‑on experience with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) or Docker for orchestrating complex deployments.
- Frontend Savvy: Experience with modern frameworks like Angular or React to support full‑stack initiatives.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Developer Associate.
