Volunteer, Part Time vacancy that will close at 2026-05-21T23:59. Are you someone who has good organizational and administrative skills? We are looking to widen our pool of Conveners to help convene panels for Appeal, Pastoral and Discipline committees. The role consists of convening panels in accordance with Standing Orders, arranging venues, communicating with all parties involved in the case, and minute taking to aid report writing for the Chairs.
About You
- Is a lay person who is a member or a Presbyter in good standing with the Methodist Church
- Clear communicative skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to take minutes and arrange meetings
- Works well within a team of people
- A working understanding of Standing Orders
Duration
Ongoing, with a minimum of 3 years, with names put forward to conference annually to be approved.
Time Commitment
Ability to offer to convene a minimum of 2 panels per Connexional year. All offers of appointment are conditional upon satisfactory DBS checks by the Methodist Church.
