Method Resourcing are partnering with an established organisation undergoing a significant cloud transformation and are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in shaping the next generation of its cloud platform. This isn't a support-focused DevOps position. It's an opportunity to influence cloud architecture, improve engineering standards and help build scalable, automated infrastructure that supports business-critical digital services used across the UK.

You would be joining a highly skilled engineering team responsible for designing, building and continuously improving cloud infrastructure and DevOps capabilities. Your work will include:

  • Designing and evolving cloud-native infrastructure
  • Building and improving Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • Driving automation across deployment pipelines and operational processes
  • Improving platform reliability, resilience and observability
  • Implementing monitoring, alerting and operational best practice
  • Contributing to cloud strategy and technical roadmaps
  • Working closely with engineering teams to improve delivery and platform performance
  • Mentoring engineers and helping raise technical standards across the team

This role offers genuine influence over technical direction rather than simply maintaining existing environments.

Candidate Skills/Experience:

  • Public cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or similar)
  • CI/CD pipeline design and optimisation
  • Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash or Python)
  • Containers and cloud-native technologies
  • Monitoring and observability tooling
  • DevOps engineering best practices
  • Secure, highly available cloud environments
  • Experience within regulated industries such as financial services, insurance or utilities would be beneficial but isn't essential.
