Senior Cyber Security Engineer Remote UK | 85K to 100KA well known UK retailer is expanding its cyber security team and is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to help strengthen security across a hybrid infrastructure and Azure environment.

This role sits within the prevent and protect pillar of the cyber function, focusing on implementing security controls and improving the organisation's overall security posture rather than operating in a traditional SOC environment.

You will work closely with the cyber leadership team and infrastructure teams to ensure security is embedded into platforms, projects and cloud services across the business.

What you will be doing Improving security across a hybrid infrastructure environment that includes Azure and on premise systems Designing and implementing security controls across identity, endpoint and infrastructure platforms Supporting infrastructure and technology projects by providing practical security guidance Strengthening Azure security capabilities including identity, access and cloud protection Working closely with the cyber team to continuously improve the organisation's security posture Technology environment Azure Entra ID and Entra Connect Microsoft Sentinel Endpoint security and EDR platforms Hybrid infrastructure environments What we are looking for Strong experience as a Cyber Security Engineer, Infrastructure Security Engineer or similar role A solid understanding of infrastructure security including identity, networking and endpoint protection Experience securing hybrid environments with exposure to Azure Experience deploying or managing endpoint security or EDR solutions The ability to clearly explain the reasoning behind security controls and architectural decisions This role would suit someone who has worked in hands on environments where they have had to take ownership of security engineering and work across multiple areas of infrastructure and cloud security.
