Method Resourcing are supporting a high-quality, regulated financial services organisation in the hire of a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a major migration and modernisation programme.
The primary purpose of this role is to design, run, and continually enhance a cloud platform that is secure, dependable, and straightforward for teams to use. This involves taking full responsibility for the health, performance, and ongoing development of our Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) environment, which supports hundreds of applications across development, UAT, and production. What you’ll be working on:
- Supporting a large-scale migration from on‑premise data centres into Azure.
- Delivering a blend of lift‑and‑shift for Windows‑based virtual machines and containerisation into AKS.
- Post‑migration work focused on improving observability, resilience, disaster recovery, and platform scalability.
- Working closely with developers to design and operate reliable, cloud‑native solutions.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience across any major cloud provider acceptable (Azure preferred but not exclusive).
- Strong problem‑solving and delivery mindset.
- Strong IaC capability (Terraform or equivalent).
- Strong scripting or programming capability (Python, PowerShell, or similar).
- Infrastructure automation and IaC experience (Terraform highly relevant).
- Kubernetes experience essential across cloud: upgrades, troubleshooting, workload patterns etc (ideally Azure).
- Development background preferred.
- Ability to improve developer workflows via automation, templates, and documentation.
- Clear communication and collaboration across platform, security, and software teams.
Working pattern: This role requires 2/3 days per week into Central London. Please ensure you have researched travel costs before applying.
