They're looking to appoint a Test Automation Engineer / (SDET) to join their Platform Engineering team, helping drive quality, automation and release confidence across a modern cloud-based platform powering AI-driven content and dynamic advertising solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who is passionate about automation, quality engineering and modern software delivery.

You'll play a key role in reducing manual testing, building scalable test frameworks and introducing AI-assisted approaches to software testing.

  • Salary - Up to £60,000 + Benefits
  • WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Designing, building and maintaining automated testing frameworks across the platform
  • Developing end-to-end, regression, functional and non-functional test suites using Playwright and other modern tooling
  • Integrating automated testing into Git Hub Actions CI/CD pipelines
  • Supporting platform reliability through structured testing and release validation processes
  • Reducing reliance on manual testing through automation and process improvement
  • Working closely with software engineers, product teams and technical stakeholders to improve quality across the SDLC
  • Introducing test management, reporting and defect tracking processes
  • Investigating production issues and ensuring defects are prevented through future automated tests
  • Driving continuous improvement across testing approaches, tools and engineering practices
  • Exploring AI-assisted testing techniques to improve coverage, speed and reliability
  • Building and refining AI-driven workflows for test generation, maintenance, execution and analysis
  • Supporting TDD and quality-first engineering practices

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong commercial experience within a Test Automation, SDET or Quality Engineering role
  • Expertise with Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks
  • Experience building and scaling automated testing frameworks
  • Strong understanding of functional, non-functional and end-to-end testing
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, ideally Git Hub Actions
  • Experience working closely with software engineering teams in Agile environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience implementing structured defect management and quality processes
  • An interest in AI, LLMs and emerging approaches to automation and software quality
  • Ability to influence engineering best practices and champion quality throughout the development lifecycle
