We're supporting a well-established financial services organisation as they continue to invest in and evolve their core technology platforms. This is an opportunity for an IBM i Developer to join a collaborative technology team working on systems that sit at the heart of the business. You'll be involved in the development, enhancement and support of business-critical applications, while also contributing to ongoing modernisation initiatives and improvements across the wider technology function. Unlike many IBM i opportunities, this role isn't solely focused on maintaining existing systems. The organisation is actively investing in the future of its platform and is looking for developers who can bring ideas, challenge existing approaches and help shape how things are done going forward.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing, enhancing and supporting IBM i applications
- Working closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements
- Designing, coding, testing and implementing software changes
- Supporting business-critical systems and resolving production issues when required
- Contributing to platform improvements and modernisation initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working
- Working within a collaborative Kanban-based delivery environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience working on the IBM i platform and comfortable developing in RPG
- Experience with any of the following would be beneficial: IBM i / AS400 / iSeries, RPG, RPGLE or ILE RPG, DB2 SQL
- Application support and enhancement
- Systems integration
- Financial services or other regulated environments
