We are supporting an innovative technology business looking to appoint a

Senior Node. js Developer to join their growing platform engineering team.

This is a senior position suited to someone with deep expertise across

Node. js, Type Script and AWS Serverless technologies , who enjoys taking ownership of projects from concept through to delivery.

You'll work within a highly collaborative engineering environment, building scalable cloud-native solutions that support large-scale digital products and services.

The role offers genuine autonomy, technical ownership and the opportunity to influence both architecture and platform direction.

  • Full Time Permanent Role
  • London (Hybrid) - 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote
  • Salary - Up to £80,000 + Benefits
  • WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Designing, building and delivering scalable backend applications using Node. js and Type Script
  • Developing and maintaining REST APIs and serverless services
  • Architecting AWS cloud solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo DB, Step Functions, SNS, SQS and S3
  • Taking projects from requirements gathering through to deployment and ongoing support
  • Working closely with frontend developers, technical stakeholders and product teams
  • Creating and maintaining database structures across SQL and No SQL environments
  • Supporting CI/CD processes and deployment automation
  • Solving complex technical challenges and contributing to architectural decisions
  • Communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Taking ownership of solutions and driving delivery with minimal supervision

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong commercial experience with Node. js and Type Script
  • Experience designing and building REST APIs
  • Strong AWS Serverless expertise including Lambda, API Gateway and Dynamo DB
  • Experience working with SQS, SNS, Step Functions and S3
  • Strong SQL and No SQL database knowledge
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
  • A passion for building scalable, reliable cloud-native applications
