Method Resourcing is partnered with a highly respected financial services organisation as they look to hire a Senior Data Enablement Manager to take ownership of a well-established data function and lead it into its next phase of maturity. This is not a greenfield role. The foundations are already in place across governance, data quality, and data protection. The focus now is on refining, optimising, and embedding these capabilities into a sustainable operating model.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for a function of around 10-15 people, including 4-5 direct reports. You’ll be leading members with accountability across multiple workstreams covering governance, data quality, and regulatory data activities. Your role is to move the function from transformation into a steady, operational state, challenging what isn’t working and making pragmatic improvements without disrupting momentum. You’ll also play a key role within the wider data leadership team, working alongside platform, analytics, and AI functions to ensure data governance supports delivery rather than slowing it down.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Owning and evolving the data enablement roadmap across governance, quality, and data protection
  • Transitioning existing data capabilities into stable, repeatable BAU services
  • Assessing and refining team structure, including reducing reliance on consultants
  • Improving cross-team collaboration and eliminating siloed delivery
  • Driving data governance as an enabler for data access, self-service, and AI
  • Working with platform and AI teams to ensure governance aligns with future data strategy

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven leadership experience managing managers and teams
  • Strong background in data governance, data quality, and data management frameworks
  • Experience operating within regulated environments, ideally financial services (nice-to-have)
  • Track record of transitioning data functions from transformation into BAU
  • Ability to challenge existing structures and implement pragmatic improvements
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence at senior level
  • Experience working cross-functionally with data platforms, analytics, and AI teams
  • Understanding of risk, controls, and regulatory requirements tied to data
