We're supporting a financial services organisation on a major operational transformation programme and are looking for an experienced contractor to come in and identify, prioritise, and deliver real business value. This is not a traditional CI role - this is an enterprise-level position focused on driving measurable efficiency, cost reduction, and operational performance improvements at scale.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading an enterprise-wide diagnostic to identify value pools and inefficiencies
- Building and owning a prioritised portfolio of transformation initiatives
- Driving delivery of cost optimisation, productivity improvements, and process efficiency
- Embedding modern ways of working (automation, process mining, data-led decision making)
- Working cross-functionally to deliver change across complex, regulated operations
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to challenge priorities and drive value-focused decisions
- Owning benefits realisation, ensuring measurable outcomes are delivered
What we're looking for:
- Proven background in transformation / operational transformation leadership
- Strong track record of delivering quantifiable efficiency gains and cost savings
- Experience working at enterprise level across multiple business units
- Exposure to automation, AI, or data-led optimisation
- Comfortable operating in complex, regulated environments (FS preferred)
- Strong stakeholder management - able to influence and challenge at exec level
- Contractor mindset - able to deliver pace, clarity, and results quickly
Contract: Outside IR35, 2-3 days a week in the North East of England, £600-£725 per day, 6 months contract initially.
