I am partnering with a large, complex retail organisation to hire a senior Technology Business Partner to sit between technology and senior business stakeholders across Supply Chain, Buying and Merchandising. This is a high impact role focused on shaping demand, prioritising delivery, and supporting a major ERP transformation within an evolving operating model.
This is not a traditional relationship focused BRM role. The early phase will be delivery heavy, with a need to stabilise an existing backlog of work, reassess priorities, and bring clarity to how initiatives are shaped and progressed through technology.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary technology contact for senior stakeholders across Supply Chain, Buying and Merchandising
- Own and reassess an existing backlog of technology demand, supporting prioritisation and trade off decisions
- Help define how work is triaged, sized, and routed into delivery alongside Business Analysis and delivery teams
- Lead and develop a growing Business Analysis team, currently managing two Business Analysts
- Support large scale transformation initiatives including a major ERP programme
- Work closely with internal technology teams and external delivery partners, including a large systems integrator and offshore teams
- Balance strategic intent with delivery reality, ensuring work is sequenced and resourced appropriately
In practice, this role operates as a hybrid between a Business Relationship Manager, a product style lead within the domain, and a light portfolio or demand manager. The successful candidate will be expected to help shape ways of working rather than operate within a fully defined framework.
Required Experience and Background- Experience operating at senior level across both business and technology stakeholders
- Strong background in demand management, prioritisation, and delivery within complex environments
- Leadership experience managing or leading Business Analysts or similar roles
- Experience working within retail, supply chain, logistics, merchandising, or distribution heavy organisations
- Exposure to ERP programmes, ideally SAP or S4HANA, although this is not essential
- Experience working with third party delivery partners or systems integrators
