Following continued growth, they're looking to hire a Backend Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team building scalable, cloud-native systems.
This is an opportunity to join a modern engineering environment where you'll be working on high-throughput platforms used by thousands of customers every day. You'll be helping to design, build, and scale backend services that sit at the heart of a rapidly evolving product suite. The team are looking for someone with strong Node.js and TypeScript experience who enjoys building reliable systems, solving complex technical challenges, and taking ownership from design through to production. You’ll be involved in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and the ongoing evolution of a cloud-first microservices environment.
Skills & experience we are looking for:
- 3–6 years of commercial backend engineering experience
- AWS experience, ideally including Lambda and serverless architectures, or other cloud like Azure or GCP
- PostgreSQL or strong relational database experience
- Sports, sports betting, casinos, gaming, or high-transaction platform experience
- Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with integration testing and delivering production-grade software
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Experience working in fast-paced product-led environments
