The role
The primary purpose of this role is to design, run, and continually enhance a cloud platform that is secure, dependable, and straightforward for teams to use.
This involves taking full responsibility for the health, performance, and ongoing development of our Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) environment, which supports hundreds of applications across development, UAT, and production.

What you’ll be working on
- Supporting a large-scale migration from on‑premise data centres into Azure.
- Delivering a blend of lift‑and‑shift for Windows‑based virtual machines and containerisation into AKS.
- Post‑migration work focused on improving observability, resilience, disaster recovery, and platform scalability.
- Working closely with developers to design and operate reliable, cloud‑native solutions.
What we’re looking for
- Experience across any major cloud provider acceptable (Azure preferred but not exclusive).
- Strong problem‑solving and delivery mindset.
- Strong Ia C capability (Terraform or equivalent).
- Strong scripting or programming capability (Python, Power Shell, or similar).
- Infrastructure automation and Ia C experience (Terraform highly relevant).
- Kubernetes experience essential across cloud: upgrades, troubleshooting, workload patterns etc (ideally Azure).
- Development background preferred.
- Ability to improve developer workflows via automation, templates, and documentation.
- Clear communication and collaboration across platform, security, and software teams.
