Meter builds enterprise networking as a service: we design, install, and manage the critical networking infrastructure modern companies run on. Every network that Meter deploys depends on technicians showing up on time, doing excellent work, and getting it right the first time. This is only possible when installation partners are supported, incentivized, and held to a high standard. Partner Operations owns that loop.

Meter deploys networks through a global installation ecosystem we call Fleet - a network of partners and technicians responsible for building critical internet infrastructure. As Fleet scales, we need systems that ensure partners consistently deliver high-quality work across thousands of deployments.

As a Partner Account Manager, you will build deep relationships with our installation and Fleet partners and build the systems that ensure they consistently deliver high-quality network deployments at scale. Your job is to make partners successful: driving performance, improving systems, and building the programs that help technicians do their best work. If you do this well, partners will execute faster installs, higher quality work, and at a lower cost per deployment. This will drive scale globally and make Meter the best platform for partners to develop their technical practice and grow their business.

What success looks like

In your first six months, you'll performance manage relationships that empower partners to do their best work. Success looks like:

  • Technicians perform as an extension of Meter. Partners hit ≥ 95% on-time arrival, 100% documentation completeness, and reworks are < 5%, driven by your cadence and accountability structure.
  • Technicians want to work on Meter projects. You launch recognition programs that incentives motivate technicians to deliver exceptional work. Partners should feel like our product is built just for them, technicians should feel like our colleagues, and customers will love the outcome as a result.
  • Partner feedback continuously improves the system. You launch partner scorecards, structured check-ins, and an engagement cadence so partners always know how they are performing and insights from the field consistently improve how Meter deploys networks.

What your day-to-day will look like

This role sits at the center of the partner performance loop - the system that ensures Fleet partners consistently deliver high-quality deployments. A typical week might include:

  • Running partner performance reviews and identifying improvement plans when partners miss KPIs.
  • Meeting with Fleet technicians and partner leadership to understand operational challenges and unblock deployments.
  • Designing incentive programs that reward technicians for quality work and on-time installs.
  • Leading commercial onboarding for new partners entering the program.
  • Negotiating installation costs with partners for multi-site deployment bids.
  • Translating partner feedback into improvements with internal teams like Ops Engineering, Dispatch, Partner Sourcing, Technician Operations, Distribution, and Service Delivery.
  • Reviewing upcoming deployment volume and advising dispatch on partner capacity.
  • Running recurring partner check-ins covering tactical execution and regular engagement in long-term business planning.
  • Building the systems that power the partner network - dashboards, feedback loops, onboarding programs, and partner scorecards.

Where you can take this role

In year two, you could build the global performance system that powers Meter’s deployment network - from partner scorecards and incentive programs to technician certification and training. You will expand the installation partner ecosystem by onboarding and developing Fleet partners in new markets, manage Meter’s most strategic installation partners, or share insights that influence the next generation of installer tooling and operational systems that support Fleet.

Critical network infrastructure is built through a network of technicians and partners around the world, and the systems you build will directly shape how Meter scales its global deployment network. To be successful, Meter must become the best and most scaled platform for partners to build their business.

Who you are

You thrive on building strong relationships while holding a high bar for operational performance. You enjoy working on physical-world programs, supporting operators in the field and are energized by building systems that help people do their best work. You’re comfortable holding partners accountable to clear standards while also advocating for them internally and translating their feedback into improvements across the organization. Most importantly, you communicate clearly, build trust with partners and internal teams, and stay calm when things get messy. You’re motivated by building systems that enable thousands of technicians and partners to deliver world-class infrastructure. You should increasingly have your own vision for how this program can impact the work and lives of our partners, technicians, and customers at global scale.

Travel: 30-40% travel expected - You’ll be in the field running in-person meetings, supporting onboarding, and seeing technicians at work firsthand. Being on-site with partners and technicians is essential to building trust and raising the bar.

Why Meter?

The internet runs the world. Every email you send, purchase you make, video call you join—it’s all packets flowing through networks. But those networks haven’t changed for decades. They’re brittle, complex, and surprisingly hard to set up in an enterprise space.

We started Meter to build better networks. We had to build everything from the ground-up: designing and building our own enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operations to deliver great outcomes for our customers. Today, we build and deploy these networks at scale. Ambitious companies and enduring institutions like Bridgewater, Lyft, Reddit, rely on Meter to keep their thousands of employees and locations online and productive.

Our bet with Meter is simple: we will all use the internet more than we do today. We believe we have the definitive networking stack in place to enable business to do so as seamlessly and reliably as any modern utility.
