Meteor Asset Management are building a new digital capability to support and scale their investment and research platforms. We’re looking for an experienced Lead Full-Stack Developer to take ownership of technical direction, mentor a growing team, and deliver secure, high-quality software across our digital estate. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys shaping architecture, translating business needs into robust technical solutions, and setting high engineering standards in a collaborative environment.
The Role
As Lead Full-Stack Developer, you will define and guide your team’s technical success. You’ll be responsible for architectural decisions, development best practices, and the delivery of scalable, maintainable solutions across frontend and backend systems. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business and play a key role in shaping Meteor’s digital future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions across the full stack
- Architect and implement systems using .NET, JavaScript, SQL, and modern frontend frameworks
- Oversee API design and integrations, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange
- Translate business and stakeholder requirements into clear technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding, security, and quality standards
- Drive continuous improvement in development workflows, testing, and deployment practices
- Support the professional development of team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with third-party developers on larger initiatives and ensure effective knowledge transfer
- Ensure all deliverables meet performance, security, and compliance expectations
Reporting Line
Reports to the IT Director of Meteor Asset Management Limited. Direct accountability to the Research Analyst. Part of a newly established Digital team, working cross-functionally across the business.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a full-stack developer, ideally with experience in a technical lead role
- Strong proficiency in .NET (C#), JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks
- Solid experience with SQL databases and API design and integration
- Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience working with agile methodologies and modern software development practices
- Experience working in regulated environments or financial services - desirable
- Relevant industry certifications or a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline - desirable
