Are you a driven individual looking for an opportunity as an Estimator? Do you possess the skills required to excel as an Estimator such as preparing quotes, organisation and the ability to efficiently liaise with suppliers and third parties? The main purpose of this role is to support the process of managing and preparing quotes across all drainage disciplines, in addition to supporting the general objectives of a busy regional drainage business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce standard day to day quotes for minor repair and remedial works.
  • Producing accurate, competitive & cost-effective estimates that include labour, materials & equipment required for projects.
  • Produce remedial costings following review of CCTV surveys.
  • Liaising with outside suppliers & subcontractors on technical data & prices.
  • Assessment of specifications & working out relevant information & determine project scope.
  • Monitor changes to project scope & adjust estimates accordingly.
  • Use of estimating software tools.
  • Work with suppliers to gain cost effective materials, plant and equipment required for proposals.

The Person

  • Ideally come from a drainage background, however we will accept applicants from an FM, M&E, engineering or hard services background.
  • Must be familiar with the process of obtaining costs from suppliers and sub-contractors for accuracy of quoting.
  • Proficient in administration and raising of competitive quotes.
  • Someone who understands the importance of accuracy for Estimators on commercial projects.
