We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team to work on infrastructure and/or construction projects. This position requires a proactive approach and enthusiasm to work within an evolving business.
Key Accountability
- Prepare applications to be sent to the client.
- Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors from tender through to final accounts.
- Price and agree variations with both client and subcontractors.
- Preparation of CVRs and cash flows.
- Input into monthly Contracting Department valuation figures.
Contract Administration
- Administer projects within the agreed contract conditions; these will vary dependant on the client.
- Ensure compliance with notification requirements and contractual timescales.
- Maintain robust contractual records and communications.
- Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to risk registers and cost risk analysis.
- Support or lead value engineering initiatives.
- Assist with provision of commercially sound advice within the project teams.
Stakeholder & Team Engagement
- Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and supply chain partners.
- Provide commercial insight to project teams to support informed decision‑making.
- Mentor and support junior commercial staff where appropriate.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree‑qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline.
- 3‑5 years’ experience post degree (less experience considered).
- Proven experience managing subcontract accounts through to final account agreement.
- Ability to operate autonomously and within a team.
- Strong analytical and numerical capability.
- High attention to detail and procedural discipline.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capability.
