The original small dairy farm started 80 years ago has expanded and diversified immensely over the years and is now involved in a number of successful businesses, encompassing heavy haulage, agricultural contracting, dairy farming, quarrying and driver training, all situated in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The Role: We have opportunities for C+E drivers to join our heavy haulage, automotive and bulk haulage teams. We operate a fleet of 100 vehicles. We specialise in the movement of abnormal loads, trucks, vans & 4x4’s and bulk loads across the UK and Europe, providing transport for various blue-chip companies and the MOD. Full in-house training provided.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Demonstrate a respectful, positive attitude towards others and behave in an honest and open manner.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and under their own initiative.
  • Work safely, comply with health and safety legislation, and insist others do the same.
  • Are practical and have basic mechanical understanding.
  • Are able to plan routes.
  • Are able to work away from home, including 4 to 5 nights out a week.
  • Are able to work weekends when required.
  • Experience using Microsoft and Outlook.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise, cope under pressure and work to strict deadlines.

Qualifications required:

  • Hold a valid C+E driving Licence.
  • Hold a current Driver CPC card.
  • Hold a digital tachograph card.
  • Knowledge of driver hours regulations.
  • Experience in moving plant, machinery or bulk would be an advantage but is not necessary as full training will be provided.

Additional requirements:

  • HGV C+E licence held for over 2 years.
  • No more than 6 licence points.
