Our blue chip client seeks a DevOps (Platform) Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a hybrid opportunity with 2/3 days per week office based in Camberley and 2/3 days per week remote working. You will ideally be based within sensible travelling distance of Camberley.
You will demonstrate the following key skills:
- AWS - core services (EC2, IAM, S3) and exposure to managed databases, search, or messaging (RDS, OpenSearch, DocumentDB, MSK, MQ, or similar)
- Container orchestration - Kubernetes or EKS in any capacity, even if not your primary focus to date
- Service mesh - Istio or similar for traffic management and telemetry – experience or understanding of concepts
- Observability - metrics, logging, and alerting (preferably using the Grafana stack); understanding what good looks like in a production environment
- Infrastructure as code - Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar in a real environment
- CI/CD and GitOps - a structured, automated approach to deploying infrastructure changes
- Scripting and automation - Python, Go, Bash, or similar
- Linux systems administration and troubleshooting
- Understanding of Security principles and AWS security best practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to simultaneously work on a range of activities and projects
A salary of £50,000 to £55,000.
