We are looking for an experienced UPS Service Engineer to join our growing, nationwide Operations Team where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and career in the critical power industry. With a strong reputation for technical expertise and customer focus, Metartec offers our service engineers the chance to work on diverse and challenging projects.
Metartec’s Head Office is based in West London and we are looking to expand our London Operational Team so this opportunity would suit someone based in the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of UPS systems across a wide range of client sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Based from home but would be expected to travel throughout the UK
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, installation and repair of UPS systems and associated equipment
- Diagnose and rectify UPS faults quickly and accurately
- Perform site surveys, commissioning, and system testing
- Ensure all work complies with electrical safety and company standards
- Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records
- Participate in out of hours call out rota
About you
We are looking for someone who is technically capable, proactive, enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and wants to develop within the critical power industry. It is essential that you possess:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with UPS systems
- ECS Gold Card, be 18th edition qualified and hold the relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Knowledge of power distribution, switchgear, or critical infrastructure environments
- Full clean driving licence and be willing to travel nationwide as required
