About The Role This team is making it possible for Metapack and ShipEngine to expand our reach and impact, enabling more businesses to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of e-commerce and logistics . We\’re looking for an experienced Account Executive who will play a pivotal role in leveraging the capabilities of Metapack and ShipEngine to empower businesses in enhancing and streamlining their shipping processes . Metapack, a global leader in retail logistics, acts as a connective tissue between retailers, carriers, and consumers, offering unparalleled logistical capabilities and a wide array of delivery options. On the other hand, ShipEngine stands as the premier multi-carrier shipping API, facilitating brands, platforms, and third-party logistics providers in driving efficiency and cost savings through a vast network of over 70 carriers worldwide. As our Account Executive, you\’ll be instrumental in expanding our reach and impact, enabling more businesses to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of e-commerce and logistics. What will you be doing? The Account Executive will work to achieve new business revenue by selling the ShipEngine and Metapack software platforms and demonstrating the value of our solutions to solve prospective customers\’ shipping and logistics needs. Cultivate sales leads through the sales process. Contact leads and high-volume shippers to learn about their shipping needs and their current shipping solution. Engage and build relationships with key decision-makers. Provide consultation with prospective customers to evaluate their shipping needs. Lead demonstrations of the ShipEngine and Metapack software platform. Prepare and deliver ShipEngine and Metapack solution quotes to prospective customers. Gather initial onboarding requirements, and provide a handoff to the onboarding team. Drive sales revenue by meeting or exceeding quota targets Solicit orders and close the sale. Maintain pipeline and sales forecasts, reporting results at requested intervals. Demonstrate expertise in ShipEngine and Metapack product solutions Generate and maintain expert knowledge of ShipEngine and Metapack products. Present the ShipEngine and Metapack solutions in a consultative manner that demonstrates the value and fit to customers based on their identified shipping needs. Perform competitive market research to develop a deep understanding of how the ShipEngine and Metapack solution is differentiated from its competitors. What are we looking for? We are looking for a highly motivated and goal-oriented Account Executive. This person will be responsible for working with potential customers to identify value-added opportunities that ShipEngine and Metapack can help them solve, negotiate the deal, and ensure a great onboarding experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Three or more (3+) years’ experience as an Account Manager or Sales Executive Prior experience with e-commerce, shipping, and/ or logistics is preferred. Exceptional communication skills Strong organization skills.
