About this role
We are seeking an exceptional Associate Director of Knowledge Exchange and Strategic Partnerships to lead, shape and grow our external engagement, partnerships and impact activity at a pivotal moment for Metanoia Institute. As a small, specialist provider of psychological therapies education, our mission is rooted in social justice, workforce development, widening participation and public benefit. This role offers a rare opportunity to design and deliver a distinctive, high-impact knowledge exchange (KE) portfolio that connects counselling and psychotherapy education and expertise with communities, services, employers and policy priorities particularly in underserved and under-represented contexts.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Training and working closely with academic and professional colleagues, the postholder will:
- Provide strategic leadership for KE, partnerships and HEIF-funded activity
- Develop long-term, values-aligned partnerships across health, further education (FE) community, third sector and public services
- Translate academic and professional expertise into real-world impact, income and workforce benefit
- Build systems, culture and capability for sustainable KE at Metanoia Institute as a small, specialist institution
This is a senior, shaping role with significant autonomy, influence and scope to innovate. We are looking for someone who combines strategic credibility with relational intelligence and who is motivated by impact as much as income.
Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging
As an organisation founded with social justice at its core, we welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, gender identity, gender expression, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability. We believe that when we work together, we can enable change and make things happen, and we do this by encouraging all our colleagues to be their true self in the workplace. We learn from each other to create an inclusive organisation.
