About this role

Metanoia Institute is seeking an organised, analytical and highly detail-oriented Academic Resource Planning Coordinator to become the custodian of our academic workload planning system. Working closely with Heads of Programme, academic leaders and professional services colleagues, you'll ensure academic workload information is accurate, up to date and trusted across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to establish a key planning function within the Institute, providing high-quality management information that supports strategic decision-making, financial sustainability and regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex data, improving processes and building strong collaborative relationships.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the Institute's academic workload planning system.
  • Recording and validating workload allocations.
  • Producing management information and executive reports.
  • Supporting academic resource planning.
  • Ensuring workload data is accurate, auditable and up to date.
  • Working closely with academic managers to maintain high-quality planning information.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience managing complex datasets.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with senior colleagues.
  • A collaborative and solution-focused approach.
  • An interest in planning, resource management and continuous improvement.

Experience within higher education or academic planning would be advantageous but is not essential if you can demonstrate strong transferable analytical and planning skills.

At Metanoia Institute, you'll play a central role in supporting high-quality education and ensuring our academic resources are planned effectively. This is an opportunity to help build a modern planning function that directly informs strategic decision-making and contributes to the Institute's long-term success.

Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging

As an organisation founded with social justice at its core, we welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, gender identity, gender expression, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability. We believe that when we work together, we can enable change and make things happen, and we do this by encouraging all our colleagues to be their true selves in the workplace. We learn from each other to create an inclusive organisation.

Final considerations

As a UK-based Institute, all our roles are based within the UK, so you'll need the right to work in the UK and be able to provide proof. Unfortunately, we're unable to offer visa sponsorship. We know that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming part of daily life and you may want to use it to help prepare your application. While AI can be a powerful enabler, and we're open to you using it, we ask that anything you submit genuinely reflects your own capabilities and viewpoint. We value honesty, integrity and creativity and want to understand what you'll uniquely bring to our team.
