Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Metalis are working exclusively with a precision engineering company in Coventry (CV6), who are looking for a Spindle Fitter to join their team.

Job Duties:

  • Assemble precision spindles to high standards
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Tear down precision spindles for reconditioning
  • Compile inspection reports and test run precision spindles
  • Cleaning and preparation of parts for build
  • Inspection of components prior to build
  • Setting up test rigs, monitoring of spindles on run test and taking of vibration analysis tests
  • Use of machine tools for the adjustment of components including surface grinding, ring grinding, turning, drilling, milling etc.
  • Service work at customers site as required (the majority of this is in the UK, however, please ensure that you have a valid passport in case of any overseas work)

Job Requirements:

  • Engineering apprenticeship/Time Served is required
  • Engineering qualification of ONC/HNC or equivalent is preferred
  • Experience with precision machine tool fitting is required
  • Familiarity with precision bearings is required
  • Valid Passport (in case of overseas travel)

Salary & Shift:

£30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm & Friday, 7:30am - 12:30pm
