Metalis are working exclusively with a precision engineering company in Coventry (CV6), who are looking for a CNC/Manual Turner to join their team.
Job Duties:
- You will be setting and operating an XYZ SLX425 x 1.25m Proturn Lathe & a Colchester Mastiff VS1800 Program online for CNC's Small batch work (20 off's max)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Use of Surface Grinders, Offhand Grinders, Band Saw, Tub Grinders, Reciprocating Saw, Diamond Lap when required
- Inspection of components as required using the various inspection facilities available
- Identification of tooling requirements for production purposes and procurement of tooling as required in conjunction with production engineering
- Identifying potential improvements in productivity and liaising with production engineering as required to implement improvements
Job Requirements:
- Engineering apprenticeship/Time Served is required
- CNC and Manual experience is preferred
- Tool Room experience is preferred
Salary & Shift:
£35,000 per annum
Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm & Friday, 7:30am - 12:30pm
