Metalis are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join a busy manufacturing environment, helping to maintain quality standards across fabricated switchboards and control panels. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with production teams, identify improvements, and play a key part in delivering high-quality products to customers.
What's the Job?
- Carrying out quality inspections on fabricated and assembled equipment
- Maintaining accurate inspection records and quality reports
- Identifying defects and non-conformances and helping implement corrective actions
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
- Working with Production Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders to improve quality and productivity
- Assisting with ISO 9001 compliance and quality management systems
- Delivering toolbox talks and supporting quality awareness across the workforce
- Helping drive a zero-defects culture throughout production
What Kind of Person Fits This Job?
- Previous quality inspection or quality assurance experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good understanding of quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Confident using IT systems for reporting and record keeping
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with production teams
- Desirable but not essential: Overhead Crane experience
