Metalis are working with a specialist manufacturing company based in Mansfield who are looking to add a Technical Estimator to their established team.
About the Role
We are looking for a technically minded individual with experience within fabrication, engineering, or manufacturing environments to support the estimating function of the business. This role will focus on preparing accurate quotations, reviewing technical drawings, and working closely with production teams to ensure jobs are commercially viable and delivered efficiently. It would suit someone who has progressed from a shop floor or manufacturing background into estimating.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quotations for fabrication and engineering work
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Liaise with production teams regarding materials, processes, and manufacturing methods
- Ensure quotations are accurate and commercially viable
- Support the smooth handover of projects into production
- Manage multiple enquiries and prioritise workloads effectively
- Maintain strong communication with customers and internal departments
Who Would Be Suitable
- Previous experience within engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing
- Estimating experience within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes
