Metalis is currently working with a manufacturing company based in Wakefield who are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Toolmaker to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture, maintain and repair tooling, dies, jigs and fixtures.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Carry out fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Operate workshop machinery including CNC, milling, grinding and drilling equipment.
- Ensure tooling meets quality and production requirements.
- Support continuous improvement and minimise production downtime.
Requirements
- Previous toolmaking or mechanical assembly experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of machining, tooling and manufacturing processes.
- Days only, Monday – Friday.
- 12‑Week temporary – permanent.
