Metalis are working alongside a prestigious manufacturing company who provide critical parts into engineering sectors including marine, aerospace and oil & gas. Due to continuous growth, they are looking for a skilled CNC Turner to join their team in Rotherham, Setters/Operators.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operating CNC Lathe Machinery producing high value components
  • Setting/Operating using manual measuring equipment specifically micrometers & verniers
  • Working from engineering drawings & specifications
  • Promote and contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities
  • Maintaining quality standards and performing in-process checks

Shifts & Salary:

  • Days & Afternoons: Rotating Days: Monday - Friday 6am-2pm (£12.71ph); Afternoons: Monday-Thursday 2pm-11pm (£15.26ph).
  • Night shift: Nights: Sunday 8pm-6am (Paid at Double time (£33.80ph) for hours 8pm-12am); Mon-Weds 11pm-6am; Thurs 10pm-6am; OFF Fri, OFF Sat (£16.90ph).
  • Overtime & Attendance Bonus per week.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous Setting & Operating experience - Essential
  • Experience working within high pressure, precision engineering environments
  • Proficient using micrometers and verniers
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and specifications
  • A methodical worker who takes pride in their work, is keen to progress and learn
