Metalis are currently in partnership with a leading specialist metals company based in Tankersley.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are looking for Degreasers to join their busy production team on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for the safe and effective cleaning and preparation of metal components and materials prior to further processing.

Job duties

  • Degreasing and cleaning metal components and materials using industrial cleaning processes.
  • Operating degreasing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Preparing materials for further processing, ensuring they meet required quality standards.
  • Loading and unloading components into cleaning/degreasing equipment.
  • Inspecting materials before and after the degreasing process.
  • Following correct procedures when handling cleaning agents and chemicals.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Completing relevant paperwork and production records.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Working effectively as part of a busy production team.

Job requirements

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, metals, engineering or industrial environment is preferred.
  • Experience working with industrial cleaning, degreasing or chemical processes would be advantageous.
  • Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
  • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts, including both days and nights.
  • Physically capable of working in a busy industrial environment.
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.

Shifts & Salary

  • Monday to Thursday.
  • 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
  • £16ph-£17ph approx. including shift allowance
